What information do I need before placing an order?

Just your cabinet list — type (base, upper, vanity, or pantry), width, and height selection. No architect drawings, no floor plan required. Use the configurator and it will walk you through each option.

Is there a minimum order size?

No minimums. Order one box or a full kitchen — the process is the same either way.

What are your current lead times?

Accepted Answer

Lead times vary by order volume and season. Contact us for current estimated turnaround before placing your order. If you have a hard install date, plan ahead — we cannot hold production slots.

Can I modify or cancel my order after payment?

Accepted Answer

Once payment is confirmed, your order enters production. We cannot guarantee changes or cancellations at that point. Review your configuration carefully before submitting.

How will I know my order is confirmed and in production?

You will receive a confirmation email immediately after payment with your full order details and reference number.

Can I save a cabinet list and reorder it later?

Saved templates are coming soon. For now, screenshot or note your configuration and re-enter it when you are ready to reorder.

No approval process and no minimum volumes. Create a free account to place orders and track your order history. An account is required to order.

What material are the boxes made from?

All boxes are 16mm white melamine over an industrial particle board substrate. Melamine is a hard, durable finish bonded directly to the panel — not a veneer or film overlay. TFL (Thermally Fused Laminate) is a separate material used for our slab doors, not the box carcass.

Are the boxes frameless or face-frame?

Frameless (European-style). Full-access opening, flush interior, 32mm system.

What is the carcass thickness?

16mm (approximately 5/8″) throughout.

White melamine interior on all boxes — clean, easy to wipe down, consistent across the full lineup.

Are the panels pre-drilled for shelf pins, hinges, and slides?

Yes. All boxes come fully pre-drilled — shelf pin holes, hinge plate mounting, and drawer slide mounting are done at the factory. Hinge plates and drawer slides are pre-installed in their respective positions. Hinges (that clip onto the plates) and shelf pins are included in a hardware package with your order.

What edge banding is on the exposed panels?

PVC edge banding on select exposed edges only, colour-matched to the melamine box (white). The edge banding matches the carcass — not the door colour.

Question 14

Are the boxes suitable for bathrooms or laundry rooms?

Accepted Answer

Melamine over particle board performs well in normal residential moisture environments. Avoid direct water exposure on raw edges or bottom panels. For high-humidity installs, ensure proper ventilation and caulk any exposed bottom edges.

What hardware is included with the box?

Every box ships with hinge plates and drawer slides pre-installed, plus a hardware package containing the hinges and shelf pins. Full extension soft-close undermount slides are standard on all drawer configurations. Handles and pulls are not included — that is the installer's choice.

Question 16

Can I order TFL slab doors with my boxes?

Yes. Slab TFL doors are available as an add-on to any box order. Select your finish from the available colour palette in the configurator. Doors are spec'd to your box openings and included in the same delivery.

Question 17

What widths do you offer?

Accepted Answer

Base and vanity: 9″ to 22.5″ in 1.5″ increments (single door), then 24″ to 42″ in 3″ increments (double door). There is no 23″ or 23.5″ — 22.5″ is the last single-door size and 24″ is the first double. Uppers and pantries follow the same width range.

Can I order a non-standard width?

No. The configurator reflects our full size range. If your run requires a non-standard width, use a filler strip — we do not manufacture to arbitrary dimensions. For fully custom sizing, contact Columbia Carpentry.

Question 19

Can I modify the depth of a cabinet?

Accepted Answer

No. Depths are fixed by cabinet type: base and pantry at 606mm (23¾″), vanity at 540mm (21¼″), uppers at 300mm (11¾″). Depth modifications are outside our scope.

Do you sell filler strips, toe kicks, or finished end panels?

Not yet — matching TFL accessories (finished end panels, fillers, toe kicks) are coming soon. For now, contact Columbia Carpentry for a full millwork package including these items.

Question 21

Is delivery included in the price?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Delivery to job sites within Calgary and surrounding communities (Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane, High River, Chestermere) is included. No separate freight charge at checkout.

Do you deliver to residential job sites?

Yes. Job site delivery is standard — no dock or commercial address required.

Can I pick up my order instead?

No. All orders are delivered. Delivery to job sites within our service area is included in the price.

What do I do if a cabinet arrives damaged?

Inspect every piece before signing the delivery receipt. Note any damage on the delivery paperwork and photograph it immediately. Do not assemble or install damaged units — contact us within 48 hours with photos and your order number. We will arrange replacement.

Do you require full payment upfront?

Yes. Full payment is required before manufacturing begins. We do not offer deposits, partial payments, or net terms at this time.

Where can I see pricing?

Pricing is displayed in the configurator as you build your order. There is no quote process — what you see is what you pay.

What is your return policy if I ordered the wrong size?

Accepted Answer

All sales are final on correctly manufactured orders. Double-check your configuration before payment. If we manufactured incorrectly based on your order details, we will replace at no charge.

What if I find a defect after installation has started?

Accepted Answer

Contact us immediately with photos. Defects found after installation begins are evaluated case by case. We stand behind our product — if it left our shop wrong, we will make it right.
